Club Rock It - 80s, Electro, Top 40s

It's been around for a VERY long time, way before I even started to think about going to clubs. Moved a few times, but currently hosted at The Skyfox, in downtown Pomona, CA.

Definitely not the same club I remember from its time at the run down, D-Club in Azusa, CA. At least there, they had an 80s room AND a Dark Wave/Industrial room.

Last week I went to see some friends play at The Glass House, and after we decided to try the "new Rock It." Easy walking distance from where I was already parked, so yes there is plenty of free parking. The line was long unfortunately, but it was almost 11pm, so that was expected. The cover is very low compared to most clubs, $7, so I can't complain about that either. Unfortunately this club is 18+, something that only seemed to matter to me once I reached the wrong side of 21 XD.

The venue is kinda rad, just REALLY didn't like hunting this place for the 80s room. You need to walk through the other rooms/balconys to get there. Needless to say, once we found the 80s room, we never left it. The idea of "bumpin' and grindin'" as a form of dance will always baffle me.

The music was very typical, cheesy 80s. But Pomona is much easier to get to than Hollywood. Drinks were pricy as well, so get a good buzz going before getting there, or at least take advantage of the drink specials before 11.

With a rating of 1-Craptastic to 10-Made of Awesome, this place is given a 4 on my listing.
